Most of my research has occurred within the Penobscot River Valley in.   Together, they provide a valuable perspective spanning millennia on the diverse marine and nearshore ecosystems of the entire Eastern Seaboard--the icy waters of Newfoundland and the Gulf of Maine, the Middle Atlantic regions of the New York Bight and the Chesapeake Bay, and the warm shallows of the St. Johns River and the Florida Keys.

      I was surprised to see a book by Agatha Christie on your list: Come, Tell me How You Live. Well you see Agatha Christie was married to a man named Max Mallowan, a well-known archaeologist, particularly in the near east. She wrote Come, Tell me How You Live in It’s a tremendously chirpy account of absolutely colonial archaeology: of expeditions in Syria or parts of Iraq and digging up. Harry (Hirschel) Moskoff, Remi award-winning film producer and writer of “The ARK Report,” is a Canadian-born research analyst and Managing Director of Moskoff-Media (Israel), MMLC. His intense interest in biblical archaeology and politics has now made him a prolific contributor to several Israeli publications and an international expert in ancient Jerusalem and Jewish Temple artifacts.

My four stars for this old book () are not about the content or writing, but in recognition that the book has a unique place in Maine history of archaeology. That is, we can learn what NOT to do.
